What skills and experience we're looking for
The headteacher and governors at Halton Lodge Primary School wish to appoint an inspirational and enthusiasticEarly Years Class Teacher who has the drive, vision, energy and commitment to join our hardworking and passionateteam. Initially, the post will be to teach in our new school-based Nursery class – which will open in September 2025 –but the person we appoint must also have the skills and ability to also work across the primary age range (EYFS, KS1and KS2) if needed.
We are looking to appoint an individual who:
● Is an excellent classroom practitioner who values all children;
● Knowledge and understanding of what constitutes excellent provision and outcomes for learners in an EYFSsetting;
● Has comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS curriculum;
● Demonstrates high expectations of individual achievement and behaviour;
● Is creative and enthusiastic;
● Has good organisational and interpersonal skills;
● Has flair, talent and initiative;
● Demonstrates a commitment to raising standards;
● Is able to work in close partnership with the other members of the Early Years provision at our school ( andwith the whole school and Weaver Trust community).
