Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Leader job summary
Hooe Primary Academy has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Early Years specialist to play a leading role in the development of our brand new nursery provision for 3-4 year olds, opening in September 2026.
Initially, the successful candidate will work across our Foundation Stage and Nursery, supporting high‑quality, play‑based practice while the nursery provision is established and embedded. The nursery will grow over the coming years, offering significant scope for the role to evolve and for the postholder to shape provision, practice and outcomes from the very beginning.
We are looking for a practitioner who is research‑informed, reflective and proactive, with the confidence and initiative to help build a thriving, nurturing and inclusive Early Years environment. There is also the potential for this role to include early reading leadership, depending on experience and interest.
You will be joining a fantastic school with a highly supportive and committed staff team and working closely with wonderful children and families. This role would suit someone who is excited by the opportunity to develop provision, influence practice and make a lasting impact in Early Years education.
Unfortunately, due to the level of responsibility associated with this role, it is not suitable for ECTs.
Visits to the school are encouraged. Please contact the school office (01752 402042) to book a school visit.
