Stoke Primary School is a popular, diverse, two-form entry school with delightful pupils and committed staff. The governors are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Early Years Lead to join our vibrant Reception and Nursery team.
About Us:
Our Nursery offers morning sessions only and accommodates up to 26 children, while we have a group of 60 children in our Reception provision.
As a forward-thinking school, we strive for excellence in education, and are seeking an energetic and ambitious teacher to lead and elevate our standards.
The Role:
As our Early Years Lead, you will have a pivotal role in shaping our learning landscape. Our Early Years features open-plan classrooms with ample indoor and outdoor spaces, providing a dynamic and engaging learning environment. We strongly believe in child-initiated learning, empowering our youngest learners to drive their own educational journey and develop a genuine love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and lead on child-initiated learning, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking amongst our young learners.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles, effectively transitioning between small groups, one-on-one sessions, and whole-class instruction.
- Collaborate with our dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic team to provide the very best educational experience for our children.
- Lead and inspire across the Early Years team and beyond.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning to ensure every child makes good progress.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead within a team-oriented environment.
- Energetic, ambitious, and willing to invest in creating an inspiring learning environment for our Early Years children.
- Committed to working in partnership with parents and carers.
- A commitment to promoting children’s welfare and safeguarding.
