About the role

Due to an increasing number of families wishing to enrol their child at our outdoor pre-school we are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our team. The position includes supporting the children attending the setting and working with the pre-school Manager to deliver a suitable programme of activities, as well as caring for the children’s personal needs. The role will also include acting as a keyperson for a small number of children and compiling a record of their development as well as involving parents / carers in their child’s progress. The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and be able to use their initiative to support the children’s needs and form positive and supportive relationships with them. Hours of work, Tuesday and Friday, 8.15am to 3.45pm and Wednesday 8.15am to 1pm.

Erpingham Primary is part of the Pathfinders Federation. Little Brown Hare Pre-school has up to 13 children per session and provides early education for children from 2 to 5 years of age. 

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have a suitable early years or childcare qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
  • You have experience of working in an early years setting.
  • You have a love of the outdoors as we are outside all day in all weathers.
  • You have an awareness of the Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • You are calm and flexible in your approach to children and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
  • You are willing to undertake training as required for the role, attend meetings and contribute to the positive ethos of our school.
