We’re hiring for September 2026!
We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to join our Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will help create a safe, stimulating and engaging setting where children can thrive socially, emotionally and academically. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure every child receives the support and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.
Starting Salary - Level 2A Point 3 - £12.85 per hour (approximate actual salary £15,750).
Working Hours - Monday to Friday 31.25 hours per week, term time plus 38 hours to be worked across inset days, after school meetings and open events. Times TBC either 8.30am to 3.15pm or 8.45am to 3.30pm.
Qualifications - Level 2/3 Early Years Care and Education or similar (essential)
Contract Type - Permanent

About Us - Biggleswade Academy Early Years provision comprises of - The Lawns Nursery, Biggleswade Academy Preschool and Biggleswade Academy Reception setting.
The successful candidate will have -
A secure knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Level 2/3 Early Years Care and Education or similar
An understanding of the importance of play and a commitment to providing excellence
A supportive team player who can promote a settings ethos and virtues
An understanding of the importance of Safeguarding
