Early Years Practitioner - Full Time (37 hrs p/w) job summary

Recognised by Buckinghamshire Council for our excellence in Early Years, we believe there is no ceiling to our children's learning and we're looking for enthusiastic, energetic and caring practitioners to join our experienced staff. We are particularly keen to hear from those with an interest and experience in working with children with additional needs.

A high standard of spoken English is required; GCSE grade C or above, with a L2 or L3 qualification in Early Years. Applicants must be highly motivated, creative and able to make a major contribution to our nursery. Experience of the EYFS and an excellent understanding of Childcare and Development is needed.

Staff need a pro-active approach and boundless energy and enthusiasm for this demanding yet rewarding role. The ability to identify and do everything necessary around the nursery to maintain an organised, clean and safe environment along with a calm, caring manner is essential. You will have a passion for supporting the development of all children as the post will offer you the opportunity to work in a wide variety of situations, whether in teacher led group times, free-flow play or alongside our SEN specialist teacher in our bespoke group environment for children with additional needs.

This role is at our Bowerdean sites. Hours of work are 8:30am - 4:15pm on 4 days per week and 8:30am - 5:00pm on staff meeting day.

While this is initially a fixed term contract for 1 year, it is likely that there will be the opportunity to extend the contract or make the appointment permanent.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
