Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Temporary Position

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and compassionate Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) to join our team on a temporary basis within our nursery provision at Hampton Lakes Primary School.

This is an exciting opportunity to support young children’s learning and development in a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.

Working closely with the EYFS Lead and the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality early education, ensuring that all children are supported to reach their full potential socially, emotionally, and academically.

What you will be doing

As Early Years Practitioner you will:

Support the EYFS Lead and Nursery Manager in delivering engaging activities and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery provision

Provide high-quality care and learning support for all children, including those with SEN or EAL, promoting inclusion and development

Observe, assess and track children’s progress, contributing to learning journeys, planning and next steps

Create and maintain a safe, clean, stimulating environment that supports children’s physical, emotional, and educational needs

Build positive relationships with parents, staff and external professionals, contributing to safeguarding, behaviour management and nursery events

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working in an Early Years setting

Has a relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare)

Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills

Is passionate about supporting children’s development and delivering high-quality care and engaging learning experiences

Has knowledge of EYFS and inclusive practice

Can use initiative and work independently when required

Has a flexible, adaptable and caring approach

Working Hours

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time plus three days.
