Candidates should hold an NVQ Level 3 or
equivalent qualification and have experience in a childcare setting. The
successful candidate should have:-
working with young children
English & Mathematics or equivalent at grade A-C
enthusiasm and a passion for supporting pupils and their families
interpersonal and communication skills
We have an exciting opportunity for an
experienced, enthusiastic and caring Early Years Practitioner to join our team.
This Early Years Practitioner post is based in the Children’s Centre at Sharrow
School – within an innovative school building which incorporates purpose-built
childcare provision for children from 3 months to 11 years.
The Children’s Centre is open from 8am
and 5pm throughout the year (except at Christmas) and prides itself on offering
a flexible provision to meet the needs of parents – with some children doing 2
or 3 mornings or afternoons a week during term-time, others doing a mixture of
full and part-days and some attending full-time on an all year-round contract.
This is an all year-round position as
the Children’s Centre team are also responsible for running the Sharrow After
School Club for the children in Reception and Nursery, as well as the Holiday
Club provision for children from across the school (Children’s Centre through
to Year 6). Holiday entitlement therefore has to be taken in term-time rather
than during the school holidays.
