Early Years SEN Assistants job summary

Are you passionate about working with young children and helping them to succeed?

We are looking for Early Years Assistants to work specifically with children with Special Educational Needs in our nursery or reception classes.

Our ideal person would be someone who loves being around children, nurturing them to try new things and enjoy everyday at school.

You will greet them each morning with a reassuring smile, supporting them to skip into school excited about the creative and imaginative activities that await them.

You will be at home in the outdoors – whether it is making cakes in the mud kitchen, challenging them over obstacle courses or helping cook sausages on the camp fire at Forest School.

You will love sharing books with them and supporting them to play with their friends, building their language and skills to cooperate, turn take and share.

You will comfort them when needed but be firm and consistent so they feel safe and secure in their surroundings.

Through working with a team who go over and above, you will leave work feeling like you have made a difference each day and have been valued for the part you have played in each child’s development.
