The Governing Body of Brierley CE (VC) Primary School is delighted to invite applications for an exceptional, enthusiastic and highly skilled Early Years Teacher to lead our brand-new nursery provision, opening in September 2026.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to play a key role in shaping and developing a new nursery from the very beginning, as part of our already well-respected, friendly and vibrant school community.

About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational Early Years practitioner who will:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where young children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn
- Set high expectations for all children, supporting their development across all areas of learning
- Be passionate about giving every child the very best start to their education
- Deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences that promote curiosity, independence and creativity
- Lead and shape the development of our new nursery provision with vision, energy and professionalism
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be an enthusiastic, caring and reflective Early Years practitioner
- Have a strong understanding of child development and how young children learn
- Be highly organised and able to contribute effectively as part of a team
- Be motivated, forward-thinking and committed to excellence in Early Years education
- Inspire and nurture children through high expectations and a child-centred approach
- Be fully committed to securing the very best outcomes for every child
- Support and uphold the school’s Christian ethos
