We are looking to recruit a hardworking and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and incredibly dedicated team at Bungay Primary School. We require a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to work initially within our Early Years team, so you will require an appropriate Level 3 Early Years qualification. You will be assisting with the supervision of the pupils in the classroom, in groups and 1:1 when required. The successful candidate will have experience of children with a range of educational and emotional needs and will be able to demonstrate resilience and calm in stressful situations, focussing on solutions with patience, kindness and empathy. They must have the skills to build lasting and meaningful relationships with individual children and they will have good communication skills, both written and spoken. The person that we are looking for needs to:
Have a Level 3 in Childcare and Education, or equivalent
Have experience of working within an Early Years setting
Have experience of observing, monitoring and recording the development of children
Have experience of working with children with ASD and/ or additional Communication and Interaction needs
Be a Teaching Assistant who exemplifies excellent classroom practice, behaviour management and high expectations
Have the skills to build good, supportive relationships with children that are built on mutual understanding and respect
This role would include supporting the class teacher and adapting planning to meet the needs of all pupils, providing direct work with a range of pupils and including pupils with SEN.
