Our Early Years provision plays a crucial role in laying the foundations for lifelong learning, and we are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Early Years Lead to drive excellence across Nursery and Reception.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years professional to lead, develop, and oversee our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping a high-quality curriculum, supporting staff development, and ensuring all children make strong progress from their starting points.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure outstanding practice, smooth transitions into Key Stage 1, and a provision that fully reflects the needs of our children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-quality EYFS provision in line with statutory frameworks and best practice
  • Design and implement an engaging, inclusive, and ambitious EYFS curriculum
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes for all children
  • Support, coach, and inspire Early Years staff, including practitioners and teaching assistants
  • Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety requirements are consistently met
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support children’s development
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is an experienced EYFS teacher with strong leadership or leadership potential
  • Has an excellent understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Demonstrates outstanding classroom practice and high expectations of all learners
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and meeting the diverse needs of children
  • Has strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
  • Is committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good sense of humour.
