ECT Class Teacher job summary
We are looking to appoint a passionate, motivated and reflective Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our supportive and ambitious team at Brook House Primary School.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin your teaching career within a collaborative environment where you will be supported to develop your practice, build confidence, and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to the wider life of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Support all pupils to achieve strong progress and outcomes
Monitor, assess and record pupil progress
Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
Contribute to the wider school community
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times
We are looking for someone who:
Who has achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Is enthusiastic, reflective and committed to continuous improvement
Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
Demonstrates potential to deliver high-quality teaching
Is resilient, organised and adaptable
Is committed to safeguarding and inclusion
