Job title: Education Support Assistant (1:1)
Salary: CSET10 £25,584 FTE, £12,489 prorated
Hours: 21 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only + INSET)
Working pattern: Tuesday- Friday, 9am-2.45pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31/08/2026 to support student with EHCP subject to continued funding and child remaining in the school
Location: Severn Beach Primary School, BS35 4PP
About the role
The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff to assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students. You will support students by helping to implement whole-school SEND priorities and enable students to engage with their learning and reach their full potential. The role will involve working alongside a team, supporting teaching and learning in the classroom.
About you
We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, conscientious and caring individual to join our team of Teaching assistants. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being able to use initiative and work independently are essential skills. You will need to adjust your techniques and activities according to students' responses, so proven ability to think on your feet is vital.
