Ravenshall School is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed Educational Teaching Assistants to work in our “Exceptional School” (Ofsted, 2024)
Our outstandingspecial school caters for pupils aged 4 - 19 who have learning difficulties
and a wide range of complex needs.
We provide a broad, balanced, personalised and fully engaging curriculum which will enable
each child to develop emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually to achieve their full
potential through a wide range of learning opportunities. Our pupils are enthusiastic and love
coming to school. They expect a lot from the adults that work with them!
The successful candidate will have a passion for Special Educational Needs and a firm
understanding of positive behaviour support strategies, understand and commit to the
school’s values and be able to work within our strong team of support staff.
Applications are welcome from candidates who have a mainstream background as well
as those currently working within a Special Education setting, as we offer high quality
in-house support and CPD for successful candidates joining our forward-facing school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a colleague to extend and develop their CPD in new and innovative ways.

Pupils have complex learning difficulties combined with other special educational needs such as behavioural difficulties or autistic spectrum disorders. A number of students have more complex learning needs including sensory and physical impairments and specific learning difficulties. We have a modern school building which boasts up-to-date facilities and technology. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan.
