Emmaus (Exclusion Room) Manager job summary
The Ellesmere Port Church of England College is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person as Emmaus Manager to join our dedicated staff. You will work under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team to manage the Emmaus, which is our Exclusion Room.
The role involves supervising and working with small groups of students, and individual students, who require support, enabling them to work within their timetable, in accordance with the College’s Behaviour Management Policy. You should be committed to working with our students to promote a positive ethos and learning culture which reflects the high expectations of the College and the Trust.
The successful candidate must have experience of working in an educational environment with children of secondary school age, including experience of working with students with additional needs particularly social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You should be
sensitive and understanding with the ability to remain calm and think clearly in stressful/emergency situations. Well-developed ICT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft computer packages, are essential and you should have at least five GCSEs, including Maths and English, at grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications).
