What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential

  • 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English Grade at grade 9-4 or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Teaching Qualification, teaching experience in a school.
  • Cover Supervisor experience in a secondary school.

Essential

  • Experience of working in a school environment supporting teaching and learning in the classroom.
  • Experience working within a school managing classroom behaviour.

Desirable

  • Recent experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school.

Essential

  • Proficient in the use of ICT.
  • Ability to supervise and assist students.
  • Flexible and confident approach to supporting learning.
  • Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities.
  • Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation, including Child Safeguarding and Health & Safety.
