Prospere Learning Trust are recruiting an Employee Relations Lead to join our central HR team, in a senior HR role, with a specific focus on achieving a positive employee relations environment, responsible for leading the HR Advisory team, whilst supporting leaders with all people management cases through to resolution and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organisation.

We're seeking an experienced HR professional who shares our commitment to providing an exceptional education for all, and demonstrates an understanding that our people are key to achieving this.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage and advise on a broad range of complex employee relations cases including but not limited to capability, conduct issues, grievances and attendance management ensuring a business-focused, risk-managed outcome
  • Provide guidance, training and support to the HR Advisors to ensure schools within the Trust are provided with timely, legally compliant and pragmatic advice
  • Monitor and review cases across the Trust, ensuring that any concerns are proactively identified and developing appropriate plans to support line managers, school and Trust leadership and the wider staff team
  • Develop and maintain strong ER governance, controls, and quality assurance of the advisory support provided to ensure the approach taken is appropriate,embodies the Trust's values whilst appropriately managing risk

You will need to work on-site in our schools as required, supporting formal meetings. Our schools are located across Greater Manchester:

  • Prospect House - Higher Blackley
  • Grange School and MEA Central - Gorton and Fallowfield
  • MEA and Piper Hill High School and Post 16, Trust Central Services - Wythenshawe
  • Chorlton High School and CHS South - Chorlton
  • Pioneer House High School - Northern Moor
  • New schools opening in Miles Platting and Cheadle Hulme.

Ideally you will be in possession of a full driving licence, have access to your own transport and be able to commute to school sites for this role with mileage expenses paid.

This is a permanent post, working 35 hours per week, all year round.

We are able to consider a term-time only working pattern (term time plus a number of additional number of working weeks to cover INSET days etc.). Hours of work must be suitable to ensure advisory support is available to schools during the school day, typically we will need cover from the advisory team between 8am and 4pm.

This is a Grade 8 post, the full-time equivalent salary starts at £39,186.
