Engagement Officer job summary
Duties:
- To support the project management of the partnership between Art Against Knives, Terapia and SMSJ
- To support students of concern so that they can become active and engaged recipients of the project
- To collaborate with the pastoral team by taking an active role in the commitment to learning protocols at the school
- To manage and update student attendance records to enrichment activities as provided by the project
- Liaising between the charities and school to ensure enrichment opportunities are further developed
- Collaborating with the Designated Safeguarding Leads as a Non-Teaching Safeguarding Officer
- To be a visible presence in unstructured times of the school day
Specific Responsibilities:
- To attend project meetings
- To attend PAS meetings for Years 7 to 9
- Ensuring that administrative records are kept for analysis at the John Lyon’s Charity
- Liaising with pastoral leaders and the inclusion team
- Cooperating with senior staff in developing links with charities, public bodies and local schools
- Liaising with senior staff in matters concerned with discipline and matters relating to the timetable
- Implementing all School policies
- Contributing to the spiritual, moral and cultural development of students

- All staff are required to have an awareness of Data Protection requirements and comply with all the principles of data security outlined in the General Data Protection Regulations. This includes maintaining security of data.

Flexibility:
The successful candidate may be required to carry out other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade, as requested by the line manager or Principal.
