We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Engagement Tutor to support learners in their reintegration to mainstream education. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or someone with a passion for improving the life chances of young people, we encourage you to join our team.
Salary Scale:
Non QTS: NJC pay scale, 7-11 £24,294 - £25,979 FTE, Actual (£20,093 - £21,487)
QTS or equivalent: Teachers’ pay and conditions
Contractual Hours:
Non QTS: 37 hours per week
QTS or equivalent: Teachers’ pay and conditions
Weeks Per Year:
Non QTS: Term time only
QTS or equivalent: Teachers’ pay and conditions
Responsibilities:
Provide personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions within the home environment initially supporting their reintegration into mainstream education.
Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND), behaviour, or mental health and wellbeing needs.
Offer direct 1:1 support in core subjects such as Maths and English.
Work closely with learners in Key Stages 3 and 4.
