We are looking for a committed and hardworking teacher to teach KS3 English as well as inspiring a crucial cohort of students within Aylsham High School for whom the experience within our Nurture provision is often transformational. This post primarily delivers high quality Literacy alongside social and emotional development for our most vulnerable students across KS3. We welcome applications from both primary and secondary phase teachers for this post.

The successful candidate will be joining our English department alongside our well-established Nurture team in a school which has nurture at the heart of its ethos. The post holder will be passionate about the role and invested in making a difference to the learning and lives of the students they work with. A willingness to learn and develop will be imperative and the successful candidate will be a highly skilled practitioner who is adept at working with complex needs and behaviours.  We are looking for a calm and patient practitioner who holds a strong belief in the ability of all young people to be successful.

We believe wholeheartedly in helping teachers to improve their classroom practice and our CPD programme is incredibly strong.  Every teacher gets to work with one of our highly experienced teacher coaches to help them to develop their practice and become the best teacher they can be.  We are also committed to exploring evidence based practice and current research in education.

Aylsham High is one of the most consistently successful schools in Norfolk and our work is underpinned by the values of the co-operative movement. Our cohort is truly comprehensive and we are committed to being an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive school community. The school is blessed with excellent staff, great facilities, and a wonderful group of students.  The support that we enjoy from parents and the wider community is second to none.  We believe that if we are going to maintain and improve on the school’s achievements, we have to continuously evaluate our approach to teaching and learning and this is a theme that runs throughout our school improvement planning.
