Working Pattern: This is a full time, permanent position working 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team at Pilton Community College – a truly inclusive school committed to excellence.
The ideal candidate will not only bring enthusiasm for teaching but also a strong understanding of the science behind how students learn, using evidence-informed strategies to support every learner in reaching their full potential.
This is a full-time post 1.0FTE but would consider part-time 0.8FTE for the right candidate.
You will:
Teach English across the age and ability range in accordance with the requirements of a professionally qualified teacher; Adapt and deliver lessons to students according to their educational needs and with reference to prior attainment and SEND as required; Set high expectations for all students; Embrace the continued professional development programme within the school, striving to be a lifelong learner, maximising opportunities to make impact within the role.Pilton Community College is a school with an ambitious common curriculum. We have a centralised behaviour system and are focused on reducing teacher workload. We believe in the power of responsive coaching and supporting staff to be the best that they can be.
