About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring English Teacher to deliver high-quality, inclusive and engaging lessons that support pupil development and inspires a love for learning. You will create a stimulating and well-managed classroom environment where all pupils are supported, challenged and inspired to achieve their full potential. Your teaching will include promoting language fluency, critical reading and confident written and spoken expression across diverse texts and genres. As well as developing pupils’ ability to analyse fiction and non-fiction texts, write creatively and analytically and engage with complex ideas, while teaching pupils to build essential communication skills for life beyond the classroom. Using subject-specific pedagogy, adaptive teaching strategies and effective use of assessment, you will respond to diverse learning needs and help close gaps in progress.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in English or similar related field, along with a recognised teaching qualification and QTS. Experience of teaching both English Language and Literature up to GCSE and A Level standard is essential. You will be passionate about inspiring a love of literature and language, adaptable to varied learning styles and committed to fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports every pupil's academic and personal growth. A strong commitment to high standards, pupil wellbeing and the wider academy community is essential.
