What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and committed English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an engaging, inclusive, and creative English curriculum tailored to meet the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

-Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated English lessons to meet the diverse needs of our students

-Develop a supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour, respect, and a growth mindset

-Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement

-Use innovative approaches to help students with SEMH needs overcome barriers to learning and achieve their best outcomes

Key Requirements:

-Teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

-Excellent classroom practice/presence

-Enthusiasm and drive for working in a SEMH School

Grafham Grange School is a special school set in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Grafham. Our school offers education and care for up to 52 students, referred from local authorities across the South of England from the age of 10 to 16 (Year 6 to Year 11).

All our students have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) as their primary identified need, though the majority of students have additional special educational needs such as autistic spectrum conditions; speech, language and communication difficulties; ADHD; opposition defiance; medical conditions and attachment disorders.
