ENGLISH TEACHER (KS3 - KS5)

Contract: Full-time / Permanent

Salary: MPS / UPS depending on experience.

We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic English Teacher to join our high performing English Faculty.

We pride ourselves on academic discipline and a knowledge-rich curriculum that prepares students for success at GCSE and A-Level.

The successful candidate will have a deep love for linguistics and literary analysis, coupled with the pedagogical skill to ensure an outstanding provision and sustained progress for all.

About the Role

Excellence in Teaching: Model and ensure the delivery of high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and support all students.

Pastoral and Academic Oversight: Track student progress diligently, implementing effective intervention strategies to maximise attainment. Contribute to a culture of high standard assessment and feedback.

Who We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.

A passion for English and an understanding of requirements of the National Curriculum at KS3, KS4 and KS5.

The ability to teach English at GCSE and A Level.

Exceptional organisational, and communication skills.

Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London.
