The Role

Trinity welcomes applications from both Early Career and experienced teachers to ensure the school maintains its balanced mix of staffing. The school is looking for exceptional staff who create a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for all our pupils who come from diverse backgrounds and with a range of abilities.

Due to promotion and maternity arrangements, there are opportunities for both temporary and permanent positions. Teachers who are seeking promotion are also sought with an accompanying TLR available for a suitably experienced candidate.

We are seeking candidates who are able to teach English across Years 7 to 11 and possibly up to Key Stage 5. At Key Stage 4 GCSE English Language and English Literature are taught with English Literature in the school’s Sixth Form. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective teaching and learning of pupils across the ability range.

What you will need to succeed:

You will need to exhibit a passion for your subject and radiate creativity and enthusiasm in the classroom. You will have high expectations of yourself and the pupils, and a determination to improve the learning outcomes of all pupils. You will demonstrate a flexible approach to working with other members of staff and be committed to being a part of a team.

What the school offers its staff

Trinity School is an inclusive and caring environment, in which pupils and staff work collaboratively to provide the highest standards of education. Staff ‘have high expectations of all pupils’ and ‘pupils know that teachers are passionate about their subjects’. We provide a broad and challenging curriculum for all of our learners, complimented by a wider curriculum that serves to support their personal development, opening their eyes to a panoramic view of the world in which they live.

We provide excellent training and an induction support programme for new staff and ECTs, as well as the highest quality professional development through the extensive use of professional networks across the Trust. This is a school with a harmonious working environment and supportive colleagues, which has a very strong, shared Christian ethos.

The wellbeing of all members of the school community remains a central focus at Trinity, with leaders, including Governors and trustees, having a ‘routine focus on staff well-being’.

If you’d like to be part of the team at this happy and successful school, we’d be really pleased to hear from you.
