Samuel Ward Academy is looking to appoint a qualified, optimistic, and enthusiastic Teacher of English- TLR Postholder to join our friendly and professional English department. Alongside teaching KS3 and GCSE English, the successful candidate will benefit from an excellent support and induction package, as we undertake to challenge ourselves to provide the very best education for our students and the community. There will also be the opportunity to make connections and find support from teachers of English across the Unity Schools Partnership which includes secondary, special and primary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring English teacher and leader, with a passion for ensuring that each student can flourish and succeed academically within an environment that also prioritises enrichment and ‘whole-child’ development.
The focus areas for the TLR payment will be negotiated according to school need and the strengths of the successful candidate, but are likely to include one or more of: Reading across the curriculum, Library provision, coaching teachers, oracy, CUSP curriculum.
