Studley High School is a vibrant comprehensive and lead school in the Shires Teaching School Alliance. We are looking for a teacher with a genuine passion for engaging pupils and who are committed to supporting pupils to achieve their very best.

The successful candidate will be required to:

* Support our students with fundamental English skills, including: reading comprehension skills, word recognition, development of subject specific vocabulary, creative writing skills, spelling, punctuation and grammar

* Support our students in improving their reading ages in order to allow them to access the whole curriculum

* Deliver content which supports National Curriculum expectations in English at Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3

* Support the different needs of our students by utilising a range of adaptive teaching practices

Additional Information about the role:

* 10% of time would be allocated to the role to allow for time to plan high quality teaching resources and track student data

* Some experience of phonics would be helpful, but not essential to the role.
