"Every child deserves an education that meets them where they are and helps them become who they can be."
Lead a provision that changes lives.
At Fairstead Community Primary and Nursery School, inclusion is not an add-on—it is central to who we are.
We are seeking an exceptional practitioner to lead our Enhanced Specialist Provision, supporting children with complex SEND needs to thrive academically, socially and emotionally while remaining fully connected to the life of our school.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND professional who combines strong leadership with outstanding practice and believes passionately that every child can succeed.
Working closely with the Headteacher, SENDCO, families and external professionals, you will shape and develop a specialist provision that delivers ambitious outcomes for some of our most vulnerable learners.
About the Role
The Enhanced Specialist Provision supports up to 12–14 children with complex needs, including children with:
- Autism
- Communication and interaction needs
- Cognition and learning needs
- SEMH needs
- Complex SEND profiles
- EHCPs requiring highly personalised support
As Provision Lead, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, organisation and quality of the provision.
You will:
- Lead teaching, learning and assessment within the provision
- Develop personalised programmes that enable children to make strong progress
- Ensure pupils remain connected to their mainstream peers wherever possible
- Lead, coach and line manage a team of specialist support staff
- Monitor progress and evaluate the impact of provision
- Work closely with families and external professionals
- Support EHCP implementation and annual reviews
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour support and inclusion
- Champion inclusive practice across the wider school
This is a role for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on support and leadership.

Our vision is to create a provision that:
- Enables children to achieve
- Develops communication and independence
- Supports emotional wellbeing and regulation
- Builds confidence and self-belief
- Strengthens inclusion across the whole school
You will play a key role in shaping that vision.
