Ready to lead with courage?
Inspire confidence through challenge?
Deliver enrichment that sparks curiosity?
If so, Thomas Deacon Academy would love to hear from you.
Your role:
As Enrichment Lead at Thomas Deacon Academy, you will shape and deliver a high-impact programme centred on the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and Combined Cadet Force. You will lead from the front, creating opportunities that build resilience, teamwork and leadership in every student.
You will coordinate a wide range of inclusive enrichment activities, ensuring all learners can take part and thrive. As SSI, you will oversee cadet training, camps, field days and equipment, delivering a disciplined and inspiring CCF experience. Alongside this, you will lead the DofE programme across all levels, organising expeditions, training and events while driving participation and completion. You may, from time to time, be required to work on other days outside of your normal working week. Where you are required to work on days outside of your normal working week and these hours exceed your contracted hours, you will be compensated in accordance with the TDET policy as overtime payment.
You are passionate about outdoor education and youth development, and have experience or a strong interest in Duke of Edinburgh’s Award provision and/or Combined Cadet Force. You will bring excellent organisation, confidence in leading outdoor activities, and the ability to motivate young people, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
About us:
TDA is a welcoming school community where values guide everything we do. Compassion shapes our relationships, curiosity fuels our innovation, courage helps us challenge barriers, confidence empowers learners and staff, commitment drives our ambition and courtesy underpins the way we treat each other.
You will have access to excellent facilities, high‑quality professional development and the support of Thomas Deacon Education Trust. This is a place where you will feel valued and where your expertise will continue to grow.
Why work for us?:
You will lead a flagship enrichment offer in a values-driven Academy where character education underpins student success. Your work will directly support the development of confident, capable young people ready for the future.
In return, you will gain professional growth, the chance to lead meaningful outdoor and leadership experiences, and the support of a collaborative team that values your expertise. No two days are the same, and every day brings new opportunities to inspire.
