ESTATES AND HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday working required

Are you an experienced site management professional, looking for the next step in your career? Are you passionate about creating safe, efficient, and sustainable environments? Do you excel in leadership and project management?

As our Estates and Health & Safety Manager, you will champion Health & Safety and Sustainability across the Academy, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. You will lead on the management of capital projects, including the development of our new Sixth Form facility. You will work with your team to maintain the highest standards of building and grounds maintenance, manage security systems, handle emergency situations, facilitate lettings and events, and oversee cleaning and maintenance contracts. You will also manage the Estates budget, ensure cost-effective spending, and oversee procurement processes.

This role is the ideal next step for an experienced site management professional, looking to take on an enhanced level of responsibility.

Watling Academy was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in May 2023 and is a purpose-built 11-18 secondary school in its fourth year of operation, located within the Whitehouse development on the western expansion area of Milton Keynes. It is an exciting time for an estates professional to join our Academy, as we prepare to open our Sixth Form in September 2025.
