Make a difference where it matters most

Our schools need safe, inspiring and well maintained environments to help children thrive. We are looking for an exceptional Estates Manager to lead this vital work across Severn Federation Academy Trust.

This is a senior, Trust wide role with strategic and operational responsibility for all aspects of estates management. You will shape the future of our buildings, lead compliance and safety, and ensure our schools receive a consistent, high quality estates service.

If you are motivated by impact, improvement and professional pride, this is a role where your expertise will truly matter.

What you will lead:

• Trust wide estates strategy — setting direction for maintenance, compliance and long term planning.

• Statutory compliance — ensuring our buildings meet all legal and safety requirements.

• Capital projects — delivering improvements that enhance learning environments.

• Premises and maintenance teams — providing leadership, development and professional guidance.

• Risk management and reporting — giving senior leaders confidence in the safety and performance of the estate.

• Sustainability and asset planning — helping shape a greener, more efficient future for our schools.

• Digital strategy — ensuring robust IT infrastructure that supports high‑quality services and education.

What we’re looking for:

You will be an experienced estates or facilities professional with:

• Strong knowledge of health & safety, statutory compliance and building management.

• Proven experience leading teams and managing contractors.

• Confidence in planning, prioritising and delivering projects across multiple sites.

• A proactive, solutions focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships with school leaders.

• A commitment to safeguarding and to the values of our Trust.

See the full Person Specification for detailed criteria.

Why join us?

• A Trust that values professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement.

• The opportunity to shape and modernise a diverse estate.

• Supportive senior leadership and a culture that recognises expertise.

• A role with real influence and the chance to make a lasting difference for children and staff.

Join us at Severn Federation Academy Trust and help create the safe, inspiring and future ready environments our children deserve. Your leadership will shape the places where learning happens every day — and your contribution will be valued, visible and genuinely meaningful.
