St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust is currently seeking an Estates Manager to join our team of 14 schools. The role of the Estates Manager involves providing strategic leadership for the Trust’s estates and Health and Safety function, with a key focus on ensuring compliance, managing procurement and suppliers, and setting robust policies.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing effective estates policies and Health & Safety strategies across the Trust
Leading on Health & Safety compliance, ensuring safe environments for our school’s communities by addressing risks and managing safety protocols
Overseeing procurement processes and supplier management to secure value and quality for the Trust’s needs
Monitoring and ensuring that all school buildings meet compliance standards
Supporting and empowering the school site teams to consistently deliver high standards of service and upkeep across all facilities
The successful candidate will have extensive Health & Safety knowledge and previous experience in commercial building compliance. Proven skills in strategic planning, contract management and adherence to compliance standards are essential. You will be required to work in partnership with the Senior Leadership team and school staff to manage all aspects of the Trust’s properties including upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety and facilities management. You will provide an efficient and professional service to the schools and suppliers/contractors to ensure the smooth operation of the estates function.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Estates Manager who:

preferably has at least 2 years’ experience in project management, or equivalent
is able to establish and maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
is able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

St Barnabas MAT consists of 14 schools across Cornwall and the successful candidate will be expected to travel to each school when required so a full driving license is essential for this role. This role is an all year round role (52.14 weeks per year) and attracts 31 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
