We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Repairs and Maintenance Manager to lead the delivery of responsive and planned maintenance across our 27 school sites. This is a key role in ensuring our learning environments are safe, compliant, and high-quality for pupils and staff alike.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead with Purpose
Develop and deliver a Trust-wide strategy for responsive and planned maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient, and inspiring learning environments across 27 school sites.
Deliver with Impact
Oversee day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance programmes. Ensure robust systems are in place to track and resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
Ensure Compliance
Maintain high standards of health & safety, fire safety, and statutory compliance through regular audits, inspections, and accurate record-keeping.
Manage Resources Wisely
Control budgets, procure contractors, and monitor performance to ensure best value and quality service delivery.
Lead Teams Confidently
Support and train site teams, fostering a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Engage Stakeholders
Be the key contact for school leaders and external partners. Provide clear updates and strategic insight to senior leaders and trustees.
- Experience in estates or facilities management across multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of building compliance and maintenance planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset aligned with Astrea’s values.
