Evening Cleaners
Hours: Part time, evenings, term time plus insets plus 5 weeks school holiday working
£12.65 per hour
We are looking for cleaners to join our evening cleaning team at The Henry Box School. This is a permanent position. You will start work from 3pm with the number of hours per day variable up to 9pm to suit the successful candidate. We require cleaners to be able to work evenings, Monday to Friday.
It is essential that you are able to work during school term time with your holidays being taken at set weeks in the school holiday period. You will not be able to choose your holiday weeks or have any annual leave during a school term.
We would prefer applicants who have current or previous experience of cleaning in a school, office, or other commercial building. Candidates with no or little experience may be considered but experienced applicants will receive preference during shortlisting.
We are extremely proud of our historic school and regard our cleaners as a key and valuable part of our school team, therefore we are looking for applicants who are hardworking, professional, well-presented, and able to uphold the high standards expected of all our staff.
As a member of staff who may work in proximity to children and young people, you will be required to undergo rigorous pre-employment checks including an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check. All the schools in our Trust are committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment, you will need to undertake regular training and fully understand your responsibilities for safeguarding our students.
The current hourly rate is £12.65 per hour. A local government pension is available, along with parking and some uniform items. All cleaning equipment is provided.
