Exam Invigilator job summary

We are seeking to recruit individuals who relate well to young people and adults to work as exam invigilators on a casual basis primarily during November/December and May/June for external exams, but also at other points during the academic year for internal exams. If you enjoy working with young people, are flexible and can fit easily into a team then this would be an ideal opportunity for you. This role may suit someone who is already working part time and looking for something extra during the school day or equally someone who is at home and thinking about working on a part time casual basis.

The actual day and times may vary throughout the season depending upon the examination timetable and specific student needs, but would be unlikely to go beyond the school day.

We are a great team at The Misbourne, dedicated to supporting student outcomes. We have a broad range of invigilators who work with the Exams Officer, overseeing and supervising examinations to ensure all guidelines and regulations are adhered to in the supervision and running of internal and external examinations. All necessary training will be provided and you will work alongside other experienced invigilators.

Would you like to make a difference to the outcomes and life chances of young people? If so, you could become part of our dedicated team.

The application and recruitment works as follows:

  • Apply via our website or My New Term

  • Successful candidates will be invited to interview

  • Successful candidates will be invited to attend a training session (training duration is 2.5 hours and will take place at the Misbourne school) and will also asked to attend the INSET day at the beginning of September

  • You will be contacted to ask for your availability and arrangement made for the days/timings that we will need you to come in and all hours will be agreed in advance.
