Exam Invigilators job summary

We are seeking flexible individuals with strong organisational skills to join our team on a casual basis, to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. All successful candidates will need to abide by exam regulations. Previous experience of invigilation within a school setting would be advantageous but is not a requirement as full training for all aspects of the role will be provided for all staff who are appointed.

As this position is offered on a casual basis, there are no set hours but successful candidates will need to be available for work throughout May and June primarily, although we do have exam periods at other points of the year. The days worked will vary from week to week but will be by prior agreement. You will need to be available for 8.15am morning exam starts and 12.30pm starts for afternoon exams.

The ideal candidate will be reliable and must have a calm, reassuring manner. In addition to invigilating, you may be required to fulfil other roles to help support exam students.

If you would like to join our kind, caring academy where students are at the heart of everything we do, please apply now!

For an informal chat, or more information about the role, please contact Caitlin Campbell on 01494 529866 (term time only)

"The school has a warm and welcoming atmosphere" and "Pupils at The Highcrest Academy happily live up to the school's motto of 'aspire and achieve'." Ofsted 2020

All who work at the academy reinforce our six virtues linked to our motto (Ambition, Sensitivity, Purpose, Integrity, Resilience and Eloquence), helping us instil a culture of excellence that runs throughout every strand of our Academy.

Situated in the leafy Chilterns and within easy reach of Central London, Highcrest is culturally and academically diverse and is the only academy in Buckinghamshire that caters for students of ‘all abilities’. Some of our students need all your support, whilst others need to be challenged and stretched. Our inclusive and successful House system, a wide range of clubs, visits and trips helps to bring our whole school community together. There are approximately 1,000 students on roll, including the Sixth Form. Recent additions to our site include a gym and restaurant/coffee shop for both staff and students, as well as a purpose-built Sixth Form Centre.

A thriving and friendly academy in the heart of the community, where your well-being is paramount. We offer staff recognition schemes, free gym and staff sports teams, plus a paid Well-being Day for all staff. There is also the possibility of shared staff living accommodation and on-site parking.
