Examinations Invigilators job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic colleague to join our vibrant and successful school.

Examination Invigilators play a key role in upholding the integrity of external exams/assessment process. As an Examination Invigilator, your presence will maintain the integrity of examinations in an environment that enables a student to perform at their best. 

The role is flexible and mainly seasonal i.e. in November and in the summer, but there are also internal Pre-Public exam sessions (mock exams), which are held under formal conditions as well as other ad hoc exams held outside of the main exam seasons. Successful candidates must be able to work on an “as and when needed basis” and sometimes at short notice.

Duties include setting up examinations venues, checking attendance, distributing and collecting scripts and papers, supervising students during examinations and recording information. Full training will be given.

The ideal applicant will:

  • Be highly organised
  • Be vigilant and reliable
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

The hourly rate is £17.01 per hour. This is a casual role - you will claim for the hours you work.
