What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an Exams and Data Manager with cover responsibilities, to ensure the smooth, accurate and compliant running of all examinations, data and cover processes at Hayle Academy.This is a pivotal role in delivering exceptional support to our vibrant learning community. This exciting opportunity is required from 1st September 2026 ideally, or earlier if possible. . This role involves an early start (around 7.15am) due to the cover element of the role, although some flexibility may be available to suit the successful candidate’s circumstances.
Key responsibilities:
To take a lead role in the organisation and administration of data collection and analysis;
To provide administrative support and expertise in all aspects of exam provision, data collection, analysis and reporting to parents/carers;
To ensure data collection and reports are accurate and that exam administration is fully compliant with the requirements of awarding bodies and the JCQ;
To provide advice, training and support for the Leadership Team and other staff as required.
To be responsible for ensuring arrangements are in place to cover for teacher absence, deploying cover supervisors or arranging supply teachers as appropriate.
About You:
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, and MIS Platforms
The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Computer literacy and the ability to multi-task effectively
A proactive, solution-focused approach
Experience in examinations or data management (desirable but not essential)
