Exams Assistant job summary

Vacancy for Exams Assistant at Swavesey College

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 5, Point 5

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

We are seeking a reliable and organised Exams Assistant to support the smooth running of internal and external examinations at Swavesey Village College. You will work closely with the Exams Officer and other invigilation staff to administer examinations and ensure correct procedures are followed in all areas by students. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the examination process while creating a calm and supportive environment for students during what can be a high-pressure time.The successful candidate will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an individual, as well as part of a team.

The Opportunity

  • Assist with liaison with departments and exam boards to manage an administer all internal and external examinations.
  • Assist in the management of examination result days.
  • Assist in collecting and processing all information required by exam boards.
  • Ensure information is complete and presented to a high standard.

The ideal candidate

  • A strong administrative background and understanding of the education system.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to give direction with strong organisational skills.
  • Possess a willingness to learn.
