Exams Officer job summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly organised Exams Officer, to be responsible for the organisation and administration of all aspects of the school’s internal and external examinations in accordance with regulations and awarding body rules.
The main purpose of this role is to co-ordinate the day-to-day running of internal and external examinations including making the necessary arrangements for special consideration, invigilators and the submission of candidates and ensuring the examination process runs smoothly for all. You will have line management responsibility for an Assistant and will be required to work closely with our Exams Officer’s within the Secondary phase.

The ideal candidate will have experience of
• organising and administering the public examinations process in a school or college, in accordance with JCQ guidelines and school policy
• working with leadership team and teachers to coordinate all exams including entries, timetabling, deployment and management of the invigilator team, and disseminating information to staff, students, parents/carers
• data analysis
• knowledge of ARBOR desirable (although full training will be provided)
• highly developed IT skills, exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• calm under pressure
It is a requirement that the post holder is available to work during the week of GCSE results day every year.
