Exams Officer job summary
Ormiston Park Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced Exams Officer to join our team in supporting students and staff in the administration of school exams during term time only.
We are a small but growing secondary Academy and our vision of ‘Believe and Achieve’ underpins all aspects of academy life in our impressive, well-resourced buildings and grounds. The successfully appointed candidate will join a caring and committed body of staff and enjoy working with friendly and enthusiastic students of whom we are extremely proud.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall smooth running of internal and external examinations, ensuring that all related administration and preparation is undertaken. They will ensure all exams are started and finished correctly in line with JCQ guidance and that all exam scripts are collected, checked, packaged and dispatched to exam boards in an efficient and compliant manner. They will create and maintain systems, processes and policies for Department Leaders, SEND Team and others to enter examination entries including all those needing additional adjustments.
The successful candidate must have:
- Education to at least A level or equivalent, or relevant vocational experience
- Experience of working in data management
- The ability to interpret and analyse data and information in order to make decisions or recommendations
- Good knowledge of data protection and freedom of information legislation
- Knowledge of Management Information Systems
- Willingness to take on responsibility
