What skills and experience we're looking for

We want our new Executive Headteacher to be passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for our pupils, including the aspiration of Governors to attain an outstanding rating. They will care about the whole school communities: pupils, parents, and carers and will value our staff and the important contributions they make. They will be ambitious for the schools but welcoming, friendly, have a sense of humour and be visible to parents and the village communities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has had a significant measurable impact on the outcomes and progress of pupil’s achievement and personal development
  • has a proven track record in school leadership and staff development with experience of performance management
  • will be proactive in their strategic management and leadership skills to fit into the forward-looking leadership team already in place
  • will manage challenging situations robustly and with empathy and kindness
  • will provide a safe and supportive learning environment for pupils and staff
  • will continually strive to develop effective and strong partnerships between home and school and the Church.
