What skills and experience we're looking for

This position would suit a person with premises management experience who can work to a high standard and have the ability to work unsupervised and use their own initiative to complete a range of tasks around the site. We will welcome applications from candidates with relevant field experience and a full induction will be provided. School based experience is not essential although this would be desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Locking and unlocking of buildings and premises, including occasional weekend or out of hours work, when necessary.
  • Working with others to ensure Health & Safety compliance within the site.
  • Maintaining a computerised compliance log.
  • General repairs, maintenance and improvement/renovations to the premises and grounds.
  • Ensuring the highest cleaning and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Fire alarm and water testing.
  • Liaising with contractors and other agencies, including management of cleaning and kitchen staff.
  • Obtaining quotes for works carried out across the school and managing small projects.
  • Assisting with the receipt, distribution, collection and dispatch of goods.
  • Good communication and organisation skills to ensure the start and finish of tasks to support the smooth running of the school.

Desirable:

  • Full/clean driving license, and willing to undergo MiDAS training to drive our school minibus.
