Extended care play assistant (Level 3 qualified) job summary

Duties will include:

  • Helping to plan and lead fun, safe, and engaging activities for children aged 3 - 11
  • Create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels happy and supported
  • Encourage children to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all children in activities
  • Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self reliance
  • Develop positive relationships with staff, colleagues, parents and children.
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection

  • Great organisational and communication skills
  • Working closely with school staff and parents to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the club
