We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Extended Provision Assistant to join our friendly school team and support the day-to-day running of our Breakfast and After School Club.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about providing high-quality, safe and engaging play opportunities in a nurturing school environment.

About the Role

As an Extended Provision Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, organisation and smooth operation of our out-of-school provision. You will help create a welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported and able to enjoy a range of creative and active play experiences.

You will work closely with the extended provision lead and wider school team, and may be required to deputise when needed.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality care and creative play opportunities
  • Helping to ensure a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment for all children
  • Supporting children’s individual needs and promoting positive behaviour
  • Assisting with safe handover and collection of children
  • Preparing simple food and drink in line with healthy eating and food safety standards
  • Supporting safeguarding, first aid, risk assessments and health & safety procedures
  • Assisting with record keeping and basic administration
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents/carers and staff
  • Working as part of the wider school team to promote the club
  • Deputising for the Playleader when required
Working hours/working patterns

We offer flexible working patterns within our Extended Provision:

  • Breakfast Club: Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 8:45am
  • After School Club: Monday to Thursday, 3:15pm - 6:00pm

Various combinations of hours available (mornings and/or after school sessions)
