What skills and experience we're looking for
Britannia Education Trust is looking for inspirational teachers to join our amazing team. Our teachers are creative, hard working and incredibly committed to ensuring the best outcomes for our culturally diverse and enthusiastic children. As our Trust has expanded, it has created several unique vacancies.
Britannia Education Trust boasts two excellent schools. Britannia Village Primary School - a well established school with an ‘Outstanding’ rating and Royal Wharf Primary School- a new school with a recent ‘Good’ Ofsted report (with Outstanding in Personal Development and our Early Years). Each of our schools boasts classes of around 20 fantastic children (3 classes per year group). Whether you are an Early Career teacher or an experienced teacher, our doors are open to you. Our schools are nestled in a newly developed area of the Docklands, meaning we have wonderful facilities including coffee shops, supermarkets and leisure venues a stone’s throw from our sites.
We pride ourselves in being ‘innovative’ and ‘ahead of the curve’ with our approach to education. Our Trust regularly receives visitors from across the globe who come to view our ICT curriculum and provision and of course our children and teachers! Our team benefit from having the City on their doorstep with excellent transport links including the DLR, Elizabeth Line and even the Uber Boat so getting to us is no trouble and of course our students benefit from having London and the wider community on our doorstep - some of which have taken them to Harry Potter Studios, Celtic campsites and even as far away as Paris.
What the school offers its staff
In terms of Continuing Professional Development, we aim to provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to be the best teacher you can be where our senior colleagues will work in collaboration with experienced teachers and our mentors support our Early Careers teachers . Armed with the latest pedagogy and a bespoke learning package where you will ultimately have options to explore your own interests, we place you on a career path which is tailored to your strengths.
Further details about the role
We would strongly urge you to visit our amazing schools and hope that, if this sounds like the trust you could see yourself making a difference in, you start your application as soon as possible.
