Dr South's CE Primary School is a warm, friendly village school in the village of Islip. Our vision is to nurture, educate and inspire all the children in our care.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and excellent teacher, who has a proven record of improving the quality of education within a school, with particular emphasis on EYFS.

We are seeking someone who :

  • Is enthusiastic, experienced, approachable and friendly
  • Is up to date with current research around Quality First Teaching and Early Years practice (Nursery and Reception),
  • Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn to the best of their ability and reach their potential,
  • Is knowledgeable and has the skills to meet the requirements of the EYFS Framework, including a good understanding of Early Reading,
  • Has the ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies in order to support pupils’ smooth transition into school
  • Is confident in leading a team, developing the vision and having the drive to move it forward
  • Able to create a stimulating and inviting learning environment adapted to suit the needs of the pupils
  • Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
  • Experience of Read Write Inc is desirable
