What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a passionate, experienced Early Years classroom teacher with an
interest in eventually taking on the role of EYFS Lead. You will demonstrate an understanding of how young
children learn and have a good understanding of early learning frameworks and developmental milestones. You
will be committed to developing a language rich and stimulating environment for all, both inside and outside the
classroom.
You will have a very good understanding of SEN; at Juniper, we have a PD (Physical Disabilities) ARP and are
passionate about supporting our disadvantaged and SEN pupils. We value diversity and you will be expected to
support our SMSC & D provision.
You will be keen to learn and open minded to try new ideas. At Juniper we use the Read Write Inc approach to
teach phonics, reading and early writing. From Year 1 we use the ‘I’m a Clever Writer’ approach to teach English.
We also use Kagan Structures in our classrooms to create learning environments that are rich in cooperation and
engagement.
Finally, at Juniper, we put relationships at the heart of all we do. You will need to be warm, caring and supportive
of everyone in our community

Further details about the role
This role would be perfect if you have taught EYFS before and are ready for a new challenge in a different school. There would be no requirement to lead a curriculum subject initially in September, however you would be required to lead a subject after you have settled into the school.
