The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant at Holden Clough Primary School, Alban’s Avenue, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL6 8XN.
Holden Clough is a one form entry school with 42 staff and 345 pupils aged between 3 and 11. Holden Clough’s motto is ‘Reaching for the stars’.

Higher-Level Teaching Assistant full-time salary £31,022-£33,699
This is a permanent, full-time 36 hours per week, Term-Time Only, with an actual salary £26,547– £28,838 (TMBC Grade F, Points 17-22)

Holden Clough Primary School is situated in Ashton Under Lyne with a diverse pupil population. Set over two floors within spacious grounds including a wooded area for our forest school provision, Holden Clough is a forward thinking, vibrant school with a strong community ethos.
We are seeking an exceptional, qualified EYFS Level 4 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our pupils, teachers, and the wider school community. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in promoting the inclusion and well-being of all our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and encourage pupils to achieve and develop
- Work with teachers to develop lessons, work plans, and the classroom environment
- Record the progress of children and, provide feedback to colleagues
- Manage pupil behaviour in line with the school’s policy
- Cover in the absence of the class teacher
- Lead other Teaching Assistants and liaise between managers, teachers, and Teaching Assistants
- Co-ordinate lunchtimes ensuring effective supervision and the provision of lunchtime activities for children
- Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Assess, manage, and deliver pastoral and learning support to our pupils We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
- Has a passion for working with children particularly in early years and a commitment to their well-being
- Has the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Can be creative and flexible in adapting to the needs of the school and its pupils
- Has excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Has a willingness to undertake continuous professional development
